SKEP was invited by the Region of Central Greece to participate in the conference "Disability Awareness Week" which was organized for the second year in a row, having as a slogan "All Together - All Equal".
Dimitra Kontova, SKEP's Inclusion and Accessibility Consultant took part in the Discussion on Vocational Training & Access to the Labor Market for Persons with Disabilities. Through her own personal experiences being a disabled person, she emphasized the obstacles in the social infrastructure that prevents disabled people from having equal access to education, vocational training and the labor market. Moreover, she pointed out that there is a need for change in the mindset on the part of employers to be more inclusive and provide employment opportunities to disabled people.
