"Think. Learn. Experience. Change" - Co-Funded by Solidarity Now

The program «Familiarizing students with disabilities - Think. Learn. Experience. Change» refers to experiential motivational speeches in Primary and Secondary Education schools. The program conducted during the school year 2015 – 2016, is co-funded by SolidarityNow. The open discussions are held by SKEP’s executives with disability and the active participation of students.

The experiential motivational speeches aim to:

For a second consecutive year, Konstantinos Samaras will be with us as a motivational speaker. He will be raising awareness by implementing daily educational programs regarding disability.

Official Approval of «Open Dialogue» Program in Schools

The Ministry of Culture, Education and Religious Affairs has approved SKEP’s request for "Implementing an experiential program of familiarity with diversity: open dialogue discussions focusing on informing and raising awareness on disability issues, conducted by disabled youth" (approving the Experiential Program in Primary and Secondary Schools (General and Vocational) Education - 05/25/2015 -  Pr.No. 82778/Δ4).

Open Dialogue at the American College of Deree

On Thursday, March 26 an open dialogue was conducted with psychology students of the American College of Deree. The speakers were SKEP’s motivational speaker, Mr. Stefanos Vouros and Mrs. Ileana Vasdeki, SKEP’s Director of Communication & Resources. The experiential motivation speech was held at the auditorium of the College and lasted for one and a half hours. The audience was informed of the associations programs and activities as well as Mr. Vouros’s life experiences.

SKEP's Open Dialogue at Free Thinking Zone on April 1st

10% of the population are people with disability, but we rarely see them. Why?

On Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 18.00, an open dialogue was held aiming to focus on the reality regarding the marginalization and exclusion of people with disability.
Emphasis was given on the necessity of establishing non – formal education experiential programs of coexistence and inclusion with both disabled and non – disabled youth.

On April 10th, 2014 SKEP conducted an open discussion event with students of Doukas School, regarding the accessibility of public and private areas. The following speakers participated in the discussion: Mr. George Patoulis –Mayor of the Municipality of Amarousio, Mr. Ioannis Pisimisis – Alderman on Educational Issues of the Municipality of Vrilissi, Mr. Stelios Kimpouropoulos - Specialized Psychiatrist , Mr. Panagiotis Pitsiniagkas – SKEP’s Motivational Speaker, while the discussion was coordinated by the journalist Mrs. Penelope Gavra.
